Housekeeping Plays With Toys!

Housekeeping at the resort in Scottsdale, AZ  brushed and braided Jai's American Girl doll's hair when we were out and about today.... Jai thought it was cool.. I find it a little cool and a bit creepy! LOL.. why was she playing with the doll? LMBO

What Under My Pillow?

OMG!!! The most hilarious moment of the road trip so far happened yesterday... we are staying at a GORGEOUS 4 star resort in New Mexico that's on an Indian Reservation, there are signs everywhere about wildlife and one of reviews mentions that a guest was bitten by a wild animal (a kangaroo rat) in her sleep. The resort is simply gorgeous , so we booked it anyway...

Now anyone who knows me well knows that I am always cold and that I'm jumpy when it comes to animals, so my radar was up. We came back to our room from lunch and I was FREEZING (due to frigid AC temps) so I went to peel back the covers of the bed and wanted to climb in to warm up...
I moved a pillow and saw something moving... I thought it was a feather and didn't think anything of it... I went to move the blanket and saw something jump and then fly..

Being a girl, I SCREAMED and was headed away from the bed. My husband, not even knowing why I was screaming grabs me and pushes me towards the door, which caused the kids to run and scream too. Hubby went into survival mode and had a death grip on my arms... 

I glanced over to the window and finally realized that it was just a freaking MOTH and noticed Jai hitting it like a crazy person with a shirt and Adam was trying to karate chop it.
It was a TOTAL CLARK GRISWOLD MOMENT from Christmas Vacation when the squirrel jumped out of the tree and scared the entire family...
We laughed for the rest of the day... Too bad it wasn't on video!!! LOL

Within 5 mins of arriving in Amarillo, TX, AC is looking for cowboys. 

AC: wonder if we will see a cowboy while here... 

Me: Um, if you're asking about a man on a ranch with a lasso roping cattle, NO, but if you mean a man wearing a cowboy hat and boots, just look over there

AC: oh cool! Cowboys!

Found along the interstate 44 West in Missouri!!! Meanwhile in Missouri... Out of the thousands of name options for a gas station they chose Kum & Go.... Alrighty then! LOL

Who Do I Look Like, Christopher Columbo?

St. Louis appears to  be like many other cities in the Midwest.. They have TWO seasons.. Winter and Construction..  We encountered several construction zones and detours during our  brief stop in the city.  Construction and a temporary road closure due to early prep for the 4th of July celebration  caused us to have to exit near Martin Luther King Blvd..  You know what they say about Martin Luther King Blvd!!! 
Chris Rock said it best.... "You know what's sad? Martin Luther King stood for non violence. And I don't care where you are in America, if you're on Martin Luther King Boulevard, there's some violence going down." Run Brotha Run! LOL

AC:  Daddy is he saying Sugar Daddy?
Dad:  Yes, he is!
AC: What's a sugar daddy?
Dad:  Someone who buys things for women and does things for them
AC:  Wait, you buy things are you a sugar daddy?
Dad:  No, these people are usually not married
Jai:  Oh come on... you've seen it before AC... She usually doesn't like him, she just wants free stuff
